About the role
- Sourcing and selection of suppliers and placement of orders
- Preparing requests for quotation (RFQs) and conducting offer comparisons, including price and value analyses
- Identifying cost-saving and optimization potentials
- Developing new supply sources and maintaining existing supplier relationships
- Supplier evaluation and development
- Negotiation of prices, contracts, delivery and payment terms
- Acting as the interface between the central construction department and technical procurement
- Change order/variation management
Requirements
- A degree in civil engineering or a comparable qualification (state-certified construction technician, foreman/site manager with procurement experience)
- Experience in procurement, purchasing and project execution; ideally also in site management and construction execution
- Knowledge of construction and construction contract law
- Understanding of technical interrelationships
- Strong negotiation skills as well as planning and organizational abilities, combined with teamwork and communication skills
- Confident user of SAP and MS Office
- Good command of English
