Guide customers in building scalable, optimally managed solutions and adaptable to technological improvements using Red Hat technologies
Deliver hands-on technical implementation and enablement of recommended practices
Promote adoption of Red Hat solutions with technical expertise and interpersonal skills
Lead technical project work, collaborate on project timelines, and maintain project and technical documentation
Travel weekly to customer sites and perform daily on-site work with clients in the DC Metropolitan area (approx. 30-40 weeks/year)
Mentor and enable customer teams; engage with internal and external communities of practice
Implement complex, large-scale solutions and support customer success as a technical lead
Participate in an intensive customized training program and attain Red Hat enablements and certifications within first year
Requirements
Active Top Secret clearance
Reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business
Willingness to travel to customer locations ~30-40 weeks per year
Travel weekly, Monday-Thursday, to client locations that could be outside your local area
Associate or Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a technical discipline
Experience with delivering an implementation based on an architectural design
Demonstrated ability to lead a technical project, including collaborating on project timelines and maintaining project and technical documentation
Ability to identify stakeholder needs and set expectations regarding project timelines and scope of work
Experience working collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders
Knowledge and desire to mentor
Experience with deploying or writing applications for one or more application platforms
Experience with automated release engineering, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and/or continuous deployment concepts and tools
Some experience with Linux, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivative
Experience releasing and migrating to Kubernetes or other declarative / container platforms
Experience with GitOps and declarative process automation
Experience with blue-green, canary, and rolling deployment strategies
Experience with application data migration and minimal downtime strategies for high-profile applications
Experience with application dependency management systems such as Maven
Experience with dependency and release management repositories such as Nexus / Artifactory
Ability to articulate why declarative dependency management systems should be used over lumping everything together into one giant project
Creative problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
