About the role
- Design, implement, operate, improve, and maintain software systems used to build, test, and release OpenShift
- Become deeply familiar with enterprise grade OpenShift build systems and processes to ensure product releases and critical fixes are delivered on time
- Analyze processes to improve instrumentation, transparency, speed, accuracy, and reliability
- Operate build systems and investigate, debug, and provide guidance for fixing failing builds
- Integrate new components into build system
- Support Quality Engineering and Development teams testing builds
- Demo automation improvements and document build processes
- Help design and implement changes to processes to satisfy new requirements across Red Hat
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience with Continuous Integration systems
- Experience with Kubernetes or Openshift
- Strong expertise of using with RHEL/Fedora Linux based operating systems
- Experience with git and working in teams on GitHub
- Experience working with and debugging complex interconnected systems
- Experience with container build and runtime software applications
- Good communication skills in English
- Experience with the golang programming language is a plus
