About the role
- Serve as the key hands-on implementer for Red Hat OpenShift projects, responsible for executing technical tasks and achieving milestones defined by the project architect and manager.
- Collaborate directly with customer project teams to automate the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
- Serve as a technical mentor, enabling customer teams by providing hands-on training and sharing best practices for building and operating a robust container platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges related to the platform, networking, storage, and application integration.
- Contribute to project documentation, including deployment guides, automation runbooks, and architectural diagrams.
- Guide customers in integrating OpenShift with their existing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
- Travel up to 25%
Requirements
- 5+ years in a hands-on technology role, such as consulting, site reliability engineering (SRE), or platform operations.
- 3+ years of direct, hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform or upstream Kubernetes in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience with automation tools like Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, or Helm.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and practical experience with tools like Jenkins, Tekton, or ArgoCD.
- Experience with at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
