About the role

  • Collaborate closely with product development teams to identify engineering-level goals and challenges, enabling the rapid integration of Qorvo’s latest AD circuits and technologies into their product roadmaps.
  • Drive the FEM integration and meet the target performance at the top module level while also considering size, cost, footprint, and schedule while working with multi-discipline teams developing PA, RF switches, LNA, and acoustic filters
  • Build complex HFSS EM models of multi-functional RF/mmW front-end modules to prevent unwanted coupling and minimize the module shielding effects within the module
  • Conduct FMS (full module simulations) across all functional states to identify compliance issues and provide solutions to improve margin to specifications
  • Drive the module design review and tapeout
  • Contribute to design schematics, simulations, and real lab data

Requirements

  • BSEE + 5 years’ experience, MSEE + 3 years, or PhD
  • Strong understanding of RF/microwave fundamentals such as lumped component impedance matching, transmission line matching with open/short stabs, stepped impedance matching, passive RLC and resonant circuits, linearity, circuit stability, and Electromagnetic theory
  • Experience in RF/mm Wave FEM product development
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience using HFSS or equivalent EM simulation software
  • Proficient in circuit simulation tools such as ADS, AWR, FEM, HFSS, Momentum, Cadence, and Dynamic Link
  • Familiarity with RF measurement equipment, including spectrum analyzers and network analyzers, is preferred
  • Self-starter and team player with good communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information
