About the role
- To design BAW and/or devices employing a variety of design techniques, including ladder filters, coupled-resonator (CRF), and hybrid filters.
- To perform acoustic and electromagnetic (EM) simulations using not only commercially available tools but also Qorvo's state-of-the-art internally developed tools.
- To layout devices and generate photomask sets.
- To perform device characterization and diagnostics using the latest RF/Microwave test equipment.
- To work in a team by contributing one’s RF skills to integrated passive module designs.
- To continuously improve design flow, cycle time, and schedule.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics with focus on RF is preferred plus 10+ years design experience required.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics with 12+ years design experience is required.
- 5+ years direct experience in acoustic design (BAW or SAW), modeling or other advanced acoustic filter technology experience is required.
- Experience with schematic design, RF and EM simulation, and design layout is preferred.
- Knowledge of AWR-Microwave Office and HFSS design tools is preferred.
- Understanding of microelectronic fabrication and high-volume manufacturing is preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- Self-driven, highly motivated and high energy.
- Proven track-record with self-owned projects.
