About the role

  • Responsible for sustaining quick-turn manufacturing requirements
  • Leading continual improvement projects within the GO Prototype Assembly organization
  • Performing Engineering Reviews and Stencil ordering for all Assembly Orders
  • Configuring complex DOE layouts and equipment programming prior to AO start
  • Owner of Preventative Maintenance routines and schedule for SMT related equipment
  • Use LEAN practices to drive Continual Improvement Projects focusing on NPI development needs
  • Owner of SMT Process Documentation, Control Plan and FMEA
  • Monitor ongoing assembly processes and quality to identify bottlenecks, equipment downtime and throughput issues
  • Support efforts to transition Product Development into manufacturable processes
  • Support cross-functional work center knowledge sharing teams (KST) and alignment with HVM sites
  • Technical resource for collaboration with PKG team and Equipment Suppliers
  • Communicate equipment and process issues to Engineering and Production Control teams
  • Lead assembly 8D and corrective action initiatives for Product mis-processed
  • Provide recommendations for new equipment and materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of SMT process and equipment experience
  • Familiar with ASM SiPlace equipment and software
  • Familiar with ASM DEK screen-printing solder and flux
  • Familiar with BTU and inline wash processes
  • Knowledge of DLT processes & requirements
  • Ideally familiar with CA68 format PCB/laminates
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Microsoft Project, JMP, and production control software is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal qualities: dependable, motivated, positive attitude, and a collaborative team player
  • Willingness to work off-shift hours or days as needed to support critical operations
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related needs.
