About the role
- Responsible for sustaining quick-turn manufacturing requirements
- Leading continual improvement projects within the GO Prototype Assembly organization
- Performing Engineering Reviews and Stencil ordering for all Assembly Orders
- Configuring complex DOE layouts and equipment programming prior to AO start
- Owner of Preventative Maintenance routines and schedule for SMT related equipment
- Use LEAN practices to drive Continual Improvement Projects focusing on NPI development needs
- Owner of SMT Process Documentation, Control Plan and FMEA
- Monitor ongoing assembly processes and quality to identify bottlenecks, equipment downtime and throughput issues
- Support efforts to transition Product Development into manufacturable processes
- Support cross-functional work center knowledge sharing teams (KST) and alignment with HVM sites
- Technical resource for collaboration with PKG team and Equipment Suppliers
- Communicate equipment and process issues to Engineering and Production Control teams
- Lead assembly 8D and corrective action initiatives for Product mis-processed
- Provide recommendations for new equipment and materials.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
- 5+ years of SMT process and equipment experience
- Familiar with ASM SiPlace equipment and software
- Familiar with ASM DEK screen-printing solder and flux
- Familiar with BTU and inline wash processes
- Knowledge of DLT processes & requirements
- Ideally familiar with CA68 format PCB/laminates
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Microsoft Project, JMP, and production control software is a plus
- Strong interpersonal qualities: dependable, motivated, positive attitude, and a collaborative team player
- Willingness to work off-shift hours or days as needed to support critical operations
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related needs.
