About the role

  • Develop and lead QAD's FinOps practice
  • Drive cost optimization and improve financial visibility across cloud operations
  • Establish a culture of financial accountability
  • Monitor subscription gross margins and unit economics
  • Manage the transition to a single modern multi-tenant platform
  • Develop a five-year financial model for cloud costs and margins
  • Implement and manage QAD's FinOps strategy
  • Collaborate with engineering and finance to manage cloud budgets and forecasts
  • Establish resource governance policies
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed FinOps principles

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • Additional certifications like CFA, CPA, or CMA is a plus
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or other relevant cloud certifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a FinOps, Cloud Financial Management, or similar role
  • Deep understanding of one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Fluency in FinOps and cloud management tools like CloudZero
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, Power BI) for complex modeling
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
