About the role
- As a Business Analyst, you are an integral member of our international transformation team.
- You collaborate with leading financial institutions and innovative embedded finance providers to integrate digital financial services directly into existing platforms and ecosystems.
- You elicit, structure, and document business and IT requirements and create clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and end-to-end process flows.
- You prepare high-quality Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), decision logs, status reports, and management-level presentations.
- You analyze API specifications, data flows, and integration architectures and ensure requirements traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- You work closely with product management, development, compliance, risk, and operations and facilitate workshops to drive decisions and secure outcomes.
- You define test cases, coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), triage defects, and support release processes.
- You ensure that technical implementations fully meet the business requirements.
- You create dashboards, KPI overviews, and analyses in Excel or Google Sheets.
- You contribute to compliance and risk activities (e.g., KYC/AML, PCI DSS, GDPR), document controls, and support vendor due diligence and SLA reporting.
- You develop scalable playbooks, templates, and process improvements.
- You leverage modern collaboration and AI tools to measurably increase speed, quality, and efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics, or a comparable field — alternatively equivalent practical experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience in financial services, fintech, banking, IT, management consulting, or in digital product/operations environments
- Strong skills in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and Jira/Confluence; experience with diagramming and whiteboarding tools such as Miro, Lucidchart, or Figma is an advantage
- German at least B2 level and English at C1 level; you are able to facilitate meetings and produce professional documents in both languages
- Strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and high attention to detail in documentation
- Understanding of APIs, the software delivery lifecycle, and technical interfaces
- Optional but highly valued expertise in areas such as: payments (cards, SEPA/Instant, direct debit), Open Banking, embedded lending, embedded insurance, merchant onboarding, chargebacks, fraud prevention, PSD2/PSD3, PCI DSS, GDPR
- Preferred certifications include PRINCE2 Foundation, CAPM, Scrum Master/PSM, Product Owner, IREB, or payment-related certificates
