About the role
- Report to the National Sales Director
- Provide external wholesaling support to a select group of top Property & Casualty distributors focusing on field leadership and agencies
- Territory responsibility: California, Montana, and Idaho
- Drive life and annuity premium growth by executing strategic sales plans across the Pacific West region
- Manage all aspects of distributor relationships, including sales strategy, collaboration with Marketing, underwriting coordination, and case advocacy
- Conduct regular voice-to-voice and web-based meetings to maintain strong distributor engagement and support
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote brand visibility and deepen relationships
- Provide product and sales concept training to distributor partners
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., underwriting, marketing, operations) to ensure seamless case management and distributor satisfaction
- Monitor regional performance metrics and provide feedback to leadership on trends, opportunities, and challenges
- Advocate for pending cases and assist in resolving complex issues to facilitate timely placement and client satisfaction
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive positioning
- Travel overnight at least 40% of the time to support in-person distributor meetings and events
Requirements
- 3-5 years selling experience in Property and Casualty or life insurance
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Superior sales and relationship building skills
- Extensive understanding of life insurance products and related sales concepts
- Sound technical literacy including basic understanding of illustration software, Excel, and Power Point
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
- FINRA Series 6 or 7 and state life and health licenses are preferred
- Highly motivated, organized team player
- Proven track record of developing and successfully executing territory sales plans and achieving sales goals
- Willingness to travel overnight at least 40% of the time
