Platform Engineer

• Act as the primary owner for MongoDB / MongoDB Atlas and Microsoft SQL Server environments
• Administer databases: security, user management, configuration, backup and recovery
• Monitor database health, performance, and capacity, and take proactive action when needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including participation in an on-call rotation
• Perform regular maintenance: patching, upgrades, index and statistics maintenance
• Optimize queries, indexes, and schemas to improve performance and reduce cost
• Support development teams with data modeling, query design, and performance best practices
• Contribute automation scripts and tooling for provisioning, monitoring, and routine operations
• Document standards, procedures, and runbooks for database operations
