About the role
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for web applications and services that expose HTTP or RPC API endpoints.
- Partner closely with engineers and product teams to embed quality into every phase of the SDLC.
- Drive continuous integration and deployment testing to streamline release cycles.
- Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues through automated validation.
- Provide mentorship and support to developers and QA team members on automation best practices.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and industry quality standards.
- Develop strong domain knowledge, and regularly access/communicate value and risk with test cases.
Requirements
- Five plus (5+) years of experience in software quality engineering, with a focus on test automation.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on expertise with automation frameworks/tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Demonstrated expertise of API testing, using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
- Deep understanding of QA methodologies, testing principles, and SDLC best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
