Engineer

• We are seeking a skilled Transmission Engineer to join a leading Transmission & Distribution practice in the Southeast region. • In this role, you will be directly involved in the design, modeling, and analysis of high-voltage overhead transmission lines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting the modernization of the energy grid.
• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow within the organization, mentor junior engineers, and eventually assume a leadership role, becoming a primary point of contact between clients and engineering teams.
• This position is well-suited for someone who thrives in collaborative environments, brings technical expertise in overhead transmission systems, and is motivated to take on increasingly complex responsibilities in the power and energy sector.
• Perform and oversee all engineering tasks related to overhead transmission line design, including: PLS-CADD modeling, line routing, structure analysis, sag-tension calculations, and clearance reports.
• Wire selection, wire blowout, swing angle, damper recommendations, and structure spotting.
• Prepare specifications for construction, hardware, and material for high-voltage overhead transmission lines (HV OH T-Lines).
• Develop structure and hardware designs, cost estimates, and detailed construction drawings.
• Provide supervision and guidance during field installation activities.
• Mentor and provide instruction to junior engineering staff.
• Act as technical lead on projects and perform quality reviews.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
