About the role

  • Prepare and present detailed investment theses, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership and investment committees
  • Conduct and summarize due diligence evaluating the scientific/technical, clinical, regulatory, and commercial aspects of potential investments
  • Evaluate market trends, competitive landscapes, and scientific advancements to identify high-potential investment opportunities
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to assess the viability of potential investments in therapeutics companies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including generative AI and data science team members, to integrate advanced analytics and AI solutions into investment decision-making processes
  • Build relationships with industry experts, portfolio companies, and other stakeholders to gather insights and foster collaboration
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements relevant to biotech and healthcare investments

Requirements

  • PhD, MD, or other advanced degree in life sciences
  • 2-5 years’ relevant work experience in a role that involves financial modeling and investment analysis in the biotech or healthcare sectors, such as biotech or healthcare investment banking/equity research, healthcare strategy consulting, or business development at a life sciences company.
  • Public investment or transaction experience will be viewed positively.
  • Demonstrated skills in computational biology, AI, data science, or similar that can be applied to investment decision-making.
  • Prior experience applying one or more of these skills to deal sourcing, investment idea generation, or due diligence is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of biotechnology, biology, and therapeutic development processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
