About the role
- Proactively engage and follow up with warm leads from marketing events, website inquiries, vendor partners, and trade shows.
- Position and promote Macnica’s portfolio of image sensors, semiconductors, SoMs, SBCs, display solutions, engineering services, and more.
- Qualify customer opportunities through thoughtful discovery and probing techniques.
- Identify customer challenges and recommend tailored sensor-to-solution offerings that include components, design support, and integrated products.
- Build strong technical and business relationships with prospective customers in key verticals.
- Work collaboratively with regional and vertically aligned Sales Directors, supporting strategic account engagement and territory development.
- Manage a defined geographic territory, contributing to pipeline growth and revenue goals.
- Support and augment Field Sales Representatives by stepping into FAE (Field Applications Engineer) roles as needed to ensure comprehensive technical coverage.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Field Application Engineers, Solutions Architects, and Product Management to drive opportunities from discovery to close.
- Maintain detailed customer engagement and opportunity records within Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Represent Macnica Americas at key events, trade shows, and customer visits (10–25% travel).
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a technical sales, applications engineering, or business development role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Strong technical background in image sensor technology and a solid understanding of embedded systems or electronics.
- Demonstrated experience positioning complex technology solutions to engineering and procurement audiences.
- Highly motivated, organized, and comfortable with proactive outbound sales calls and customer engagement.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical features into customer value.
- Self-starter with a passion for innovation and technology.
- Familiarity with system design, SoMs, or AI/ML edge solutions is a plus.
- Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar systems.
