About the role

  • Proactively engage and follow up with warm leads from marketing events, website inquiries, vendor partners, and trade shows.
  • Position and promote Macnica’s portfolio of image sensors, semiconductors, SoMs, SBCs, display solutions, engineering services, and more.
  • Qualify customer opportunities through thoughtful discovery and probing techniques.
  • Identify customer challenges and recommend tailored sensor-to-solution offerings that include components, design support, and integrated products.
  • Build strong technical and business relationships with prospective customers in key verticals.
  • Work collaboratively with regional and vertically aligned Sales Directors, supporting strategic account engagement and territory development.
  • Manage a defined geographic territory, contributing to pipeline growth and revenue goals.
  • Support and augment Field Sales Representatives by stepping into FAE (Field Applications Engineer) roles as needed to ensure comprehensive technical coverage.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Field Application Engineers, Solutions Architects, and Product Management to drive opportunities from discovery to close.
  • Maintain detailed customer engagement and opportunity records within Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Represent Macnica Americas at key events, trade shows, and customer visits (10–25% travel).

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in a technical sales, applications engineering, or business development role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Strong technical background in image sensor technology and a solid understanding of embedded systems or electronics.
  • Demonstrated experience positioning complex technology solutions to engineering and procurement audiences.
  • Highly motivated, organized, and comfortable with proactive outbound sales calls and customer engagement.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical features into customer value.
  • Self-starter with a passion for innovation and technology.
  • Familiarity with system design, SoMs, or AI/ML edge solutions is a plus.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar systems.
