About the role
- Serve as a strategic leader and advocate for internal developer experience, shaping platform engineering initiatives to align with organizational goals
- Drive the vision and execution of self-service interfaces (e.g., internal portals, APIs, templates) that empower developers and accelerate innovation
- Architect and implement feedback and communication processes that inform platform strategy
- Analyze developer feedback and usage metrics to identify opportunities for transformative platform improvements
- Lead the optimization of onboarding flows and usability of platform tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and intuitive developer solutions
- Develop and maintain strategic documentation, guides, and resources that enable developer productivity
- Monitor and report on developer experience metrics, providing executive-level insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Engineering, or related discipline)
- 10+ years of experience in developer tooling, DevOps, or platform engineering
- Strong understanding of CI/CD systems and developer workflows
- Experience designing and supporting internal tools (e.g., APIs, portals, templates)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a user-first mindset
- Fluent in English; capable of clear technical communication across scientific and engineering disciplines
- Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee and guide work to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
