About the role
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, elicit requirements, and document detailed specifications for software development projects.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and generate actionable insights for improving financial products and services.
- Evaluate existing business processes and propose improvements to optimize processes and reduce operational costs.
- Conduct risk assessments, monitor regulatory compliance, and implement strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and projections to support strategic planning, budgeting, and decision-making.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams and end-users to ensure software solutions meet business requirements and expectations.
- Maintain clear and organized documentation of business requirements, processes, and project progress.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other teams to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CFA) is a plus.
- 3+ years preferred in the Record Keeper space or working for vendor(s) who serve Record Keepers (e.g., FIS Relius/Omni, Ascensus, SS&C, etc.).
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the FinTech industry or related financial services.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance in the FinTech sector.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with software development processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile Scrum/Kanban).
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
