About the role

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, elicit requirements, and document detailed specifications for software development projects.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and generate actionable insights for improving financial products and services.
  • Evaluate existing business processes and propose improvements to optimize processes and reduce operational costs.
  • Conduct risk assessments, monitor regulatory compliance, and implement strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Develop financial models, forecasts, and projections to support strategic planning, budgeting, and decision-making.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams and end-users to ensure software solutions meet business requirements and expectations.
  • Maintain clear and organized documentation of business requirements, processes, and project progress.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other teams to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CFA) is a plus.
  • 3+ years preferred in the Record Keeper space or working for vendor(s) who serve Record Keepers (e.g., FIS Relius/Omni, Ascensus, SS&C, etc.).
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the FinTech industry or related financial services.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance in the FinTech sector.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile Scrum/Kanban).
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
