About the role

  • Sell effective and innovative digital, print, and service solutions to 2/4-year college institutions to meet educational goals.
  • Achieve or surpass territory sales targets by offering course-based solutions and gaining market share.
  • Accelerate the shift toward subscription-based materials to tackle student affordability and access challenges.
  • Collaborate with specialists, enterprise account executives, and bookstores to implement program- or institution-wide solutions and drive sell-through.
  • Conduct impactful back-to-school campaigns and deliver technology sales presentations and student training sessions.
  • Use a mix of campus visits and virtual campus days to connect with 15+ faculty members daily using consultative sales techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and timely tracking and forecasting in OneCRM (Salesforce.com); track territory performance.
  • Strategically plan at both the territory and adoption levels; work closely with Customer Success to support key customers.
  • Implement company initiatives within the sales territory and share successful tactics across district, region, and nationally.
  • Remote/home-based role with regular daily travel to college campuses in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin and national sales meetings.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and successful work experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of outstanding sales performance in the higher education market or a related industry.
  • Proficiency with Office tools, mobile technologies, computer applications, and business systems.
  • Strong drive for achievement and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Comfort with digital media and enthusiasm for education.
  • Ability to connect with 15+ faculty daily using consultative sales techniques.
  • Excellent organizational, follow-up, written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate tracking and forecasting in OneCRM/Salesforce.com.
  • Ability to plan strategically at territory and adoption levels.
  • Willingness to take on assignments with cross-functional task forces when needed.
