About the role

  • Design and develop electrical systems and components for wire harnesses and dash panel assemblies.
  • Conduct electrical system analysis and simulations to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, production staff, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical designs into final products.
  • Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including schematics, layout drawings, and specifications.
  • Participate in product testing, troubleshooting, and validation processes to ensure functionality and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in marine electrical engineering and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the certification process for ABYC standards, ensuring all products meet or exceed required specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Previous experience in CAD Design, experience in the marine or automotive industry strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring practices.
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record showing the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently with limited oversight
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong analytical/critical thinking
