About the role

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of Cold Rolling Works, including rolling mills, annealing, pickling, and finishing lines.
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize throughput, reduce costs, and improve yield.
  • Align CRW operations with overall plant and corporate objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers, supervisors, and operators.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with metallurgical specifications and customer requirements.
  • Manage operational budgets, monitor KPIs, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
  • Champion health, safety, and environmental standards across CRW operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in stainless steel or metal rolling operations, including at least 10 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in delivering against stated KPI’s
  • Strong knowledge of cold rolling processes, annealing, pickling, and finishing operations.
  • Proven track record in operational excellence, cost optimization, and team leadership.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies.
