• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers (backend, frontend, full-stack, or platform depending on assignment).
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and professional growth discussions.
• Foster a culture of ownership, psychological safety, continuous learning, and inclusive collaboration.
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, secure telehealth platform features and services.
• Guide engineers in technical decision-making, architecture, and best practices.
• Ensure on-time delivery of roadmap initiatives by partnering closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain high code quality standards through thoughtful code review and process improvements.
• Work closely with Product Management to shape requirements, prioritize work, and balance long-term scalability with short-term needs.
• Partner with Security, Clinical, and Operations teams to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and operational reliability.
• Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to align on engineering processes, infrastructure, and staffing needs.
• Own team metrics: delivery throughput, quality, system reliability, and engineering productivity.
• Improve and evolve engineering processes, development workflows, and technical documentation.
• Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of system resilience.
