About the role
- Lead performance testing strategy, planning, and execution using k6 (open-source and cloud).
- Design and implement robust, reusable, and parameterized performance test scripts in Typescript.
- Simulate realistic load, stress, and soak test scenarios across APIs, web applications, and microservices.
- Analyze results to uncover bottlenecks and performance issues across front-end, backend, and database layers.
- Partner with Developers, DevOps, and Architects to integrate performance objectives into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Work with stakeholders to define and maintain performance SLAs and ensure adherence across environments.
- Collaborate with the Quality Enablement team to evolve our performance observability, tooling, and metrics strategy.
- Mentor engineers on performance testing best practices, code efficiency, and scalability principles.
- Present detailed reports and insights that guide product and infrastructure improvements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in performance testing and engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with k6, including scripting, scenario modeling, and analysis.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript for k6 scripting.
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB, or similar monitoring and metrics tools.
- Strong understanding of HTTP, REST, WebSockets, and microservices architectures.
- Solid experience integrating performance tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed load testing setups.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
