About the role

  • Manage and facilitate the timely and accurate monthly Nigeria Payroll operations
  • Calculate and enter payroll data
  • Data entry, records management, and analytics as needed
  • Perform month-on-month payroll reconciliations
  • Review Nigeria payroll journal entries for posting
  • Process Nigeria Tax payments and expenses as needed
  • Manage compliance with all statutory regulations, as well as company policies
  • Communicate Payroll developments in a clear and actionable manner to other internal stakeholders
  • Partner with Finance teams to support other initiatives such as transfer pricing
  • Review employee data changes such as new hire entry and direct deposit setup, promotions, status changes, terminations, etc.
  • Maintain compensation databases and ensure employment records are properly maintained in the system
  • Support in the onboarding process for new joiners
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing company policies
  • Support in HR Admin tasks

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience managing payroll
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Experience managing payroll in multiple countries and regions
  • Superior communication skills in English, both written and oral
  • Relationship builder who is comfortable managing the interests of multiple stakeholders
  • Able to work in a complex, high-paced environment and handle ambiguity effectively
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must be process-oriented
  • Experience working in fin/tech a plus
