About the role
- Support the development and execution of SEO strategies that enhance organic visibility and drive traffic growth.
- Conduct keyword research, competitor benchmarking, and content gap analysis to identify ranking opportunities.
- Collaborate with content teams to ensure alignment between SEO goals, content topics, and brand positioning.
- Regularly track and analyze SEO performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Plan, manage, and execute white-hat link-building campaigns to strengthen domain authority and search rankings.
- Identify and secure high-quality backlinks through guest posting, partnerships, PR placements, and influencer collaborations.
- Monitor and evaluate backlink quality, ensuring adherence to Google’s best practices and avoiding spammy link sources.
- Analyse competitors’ backlink profiles and develop outreach strategies to replicate or surpass their authority signals.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and media outlets to earn coverage and backlinks.
- Position founders and company spokespeople for expert commentary, interviews, and profile features across online media, industry publications, and podcasts.
- Track and report on digital PR campaigns, monitoring brand mentions, referral traffic, and earned media links.
- Work with developers to maintain website speed, proper indexing, and mobile responsiveness.
- Conduct technical audits using Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, or Ahrefs to detect crawl errors and broken links.
- Implement schema markup and structured data to enhance SERP visibility and improve click-through rates.
- Work closely with the content or marketing team to ensure content aligns with link-building and ranking objectives.
- Monitor competitors’ backlinks and content strategies to identify new opportunities.
- Skilled in keyword mapping, topic clustering, and aligning content with SEO goals.
- Optimise existing and new content for improved organic performance, readability, and conversion.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, design, and web teams to ensure seamless execution of SEO and PR strategies.
- Understand how technical, on-page, and off-page SEO interact.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in SEO, link-building, or digital PR (preferably for SaaS, tech, or marketing-led companies).
- Proven track record of securing high-quality backlinks and media placements through outreach and PR campaigns.
- Proficiency in SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console.
- Experience using outreach and PR tools (e.g., Pitchbox, BuzzStream, Hunter.io, Muck Rack, HARO).
- Strong understanding of link-building metrics (domain authority, referring domains, anchor text distribution, link relevance).
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, or similar).
- Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and structured data markup.
- Ability to analyse data and translate it into actionable growth strategies.
