About the role
- Analyze component availability and value stream workload to assign accurate delivery dates for customized products, optimize production schedules, and monitor progress
- Work cross functionally with buyers, operations and planning to resolve issues, handle customer inquiries, and provide input to sales and operations planning
- Maintain accurate records, review forecasts, and process all order changes and cancellations
- Identify excess and obsolete inventory, determine root cause and disposition, and take corrective action
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and minimize human involvement
- Collaborate with buyers on component availability/lead time and production planning team to establish production schedules and optimal production sequencing
- Identify and resolve capacity/load issues, address equipment/quality problems, and initiate corrective action
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, materials management, supply chain operations, or related field preferred
- 2+ years' experience in production planning and execution preferred
- Ideal candidates would have experience in JDE ERP system
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with conflict resolution and project management
- CPIM certification through ASCM preferred
