About the role
- Provide leadership and guidance to build an accident-free workplace.
- Support the Engineering, Operations and Maintenance teams by providing timely information as it relates to structures, platforms, access ladders, stairs and foundations.
- Designing small buildings, platforms, equipment supports, and foundation systems following relevant codes.
- Reviewing and checking civil/structural drawings.
- Working with others to continue to grow as an Engineer.
- Overseeing the design, implementation, and documentation for all Civil/Structural improvements and upgrades across the Hot Mill and Cold Mill.
- Be available at all times as a technical resource and subject matter expert for engineering, maintenance, and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering
- 3 years of experience in structural design and engineering
- Degree emphasis in Structures (Preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) (Preferred)
- RISA-3D experience (Preferred)
- Experience utilizing laser scanning technology to aid with design (Preferred)
