About the role

  • Responsible for the functional and disciplinary leadership of approximately 250 employees in the production area.
  • Ensure production targets for nacelles (machine housings) at the Rostock site — with a focus on occupational safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery.
  • Manage and coordinate all personnel and technical resources to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Organize the availability of workforce, tools and equipment based on production schedules.
  • Continuously monitor KPIs and derive improvement measures.
  • Continuously optimize production processes through preventive and corrective actions.
  • Foster a productive work environment and motivate the team.
  • Regularly liaise with international colleagues, especially with our site in Spain, to align processes and share best practices.
  • Work closely with the works council to ensure trusted and transparent communication.
  • Embed a strong safety culture across the production area — occupational safety is your top priority.

Requirements

  • Completed technical university degree (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering) or equivalent qualification through professional experience.
  • Several years of experience (at least 5–10 years) in industrial serial production, ideally in sectors such as mechanical engineering, manufacturing, aerospace or automotive.
  • Proven leadership experience of at least 5 years managing larger teams (50–100 employees), including personnel development and change management.
  • Solid knowledge of production planning, lean management and process optimization.
  • Strong ability to structure complex processes and implement decisions pragmatically.
  • Strong communication skills in an international environment and intercultural competence.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, drive to shape processes and high personal responsibility.
  • Fluent German and very good business English; Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Willingness to work on-site at the office on all working days.
