Act as a trusted advisor partnering with customers to understand needs and translate stakeholder inputs into effective requirements and solutions
Specify and design effective end-to-end solutions using Nokia portfolio and third-party products where required
Apply solution architecture standards, processes, and principles to maintain a solution's technical integrity over time
Serve as technical leader and single point of contact for customer projects and internal domain teams
Build trusted relationships with Customer Network Head, Engineering and Planning teams
Run project meetings with technical depth and execute planned workshops
Lead technical discussions with customer teams: solution presentations, requirement analysis, RCA
Provide technical E2E leadership across domains and lead R&D discussions
Develop architecture and HLD for 4G/5G services, based primarily on Kubernetes and RHOS platforms
Perform technical risk evaluation and define mitigation plans for proposed designs/solutions
Evaluate new technologies and set direction for customer solution evolution and roadmap
Plan and review migration strategies for solution refreshes and traffic or sub migrations
Requirements
At least 12 years of experience as Architect and Engineer in Telecommunication
Deep understanding of 4G, 5G Packet Core and Voice network architecture and design including solid understanding of 3gpp specifications, Call flows, Use cases and integrations
Practical hands-on experience designing and deploying 4G and 5G networks, at least two 4G networks and one 5G network with end-2-end architecture, lead architect responsibility
Solid understanding of IP protocols including BGP/eBGP, BFD, eVPN, VXLAN used in DC design
Architectural know how on HW/SW based tech such as SR IOV, DPDK and accelerators
End to end in-depth and practical knowledge of: 4G and 5G Packet Core; Signalling and SBA Architecture; IMS and VoLTE/VoNR Architecture; Charging and Policy Management call flows and integrations; Roaming and operator interworking; Security aspects including Defence-in-depth
Understanding of CNF onboarding and dependencies on Cloud infra (desirable)
Knowledge of security and auxiliary services (VPN, FW, DHCP, DNS etc) in Kubernetes and RHOS clouds (desirable)
