About the role
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies to enhance brand visibility, affinity and engagement tailored to the health and wellness audience
- Manage day-to-day operations across major platforms, including content creation, scheduling, posting, and performance analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Research, Scientific Affairs, Legal, Creative, Product Development) to integrate social media initiatives and ensure accuracy and brand consistency
- Monitor trends in social media, bioscience, and health wellness to identify opportunities for innovative campaigns
- Analyze metrics and KPIs (engagement rates, reach, conversions) using tools like Meltwater and Later Analytics as well as platform-specific metrics
- Build and engage online communities through interactive content, authentic storytelling, user-generated campaigns, and influencer partnerships
- Ensure all content adheres to regulatory standards in the bioscience industry, including FDA guidelines for health-related claims
- Oversee the development of engaging, high-quality, and scientifically accurate content (graphics, videos, animations, stories, written posts)
- Experiment with and adopt emerging platforms and formats, such as short-form video or AI-generated content, to expand digital footprint
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in social media marketing
- Strong portfolio demonstrating successful campaigns in competitive industries, ideally bioscience, health, or technology
- Solid expertise across Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube
- Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Meltwater, Later Analytics) and platform-specific metrics
- Strong understanding of SEO, content marketing, and digital advertising principles
- Exceptional creativity and strategic thinking with ability to push creative boundaries
- Track record or experience in crisis management and reputation handling on social channels (preferred)
- Experience developing and growing social communities and managing multiple accounts/platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities
- Familiarity with the bioscience or health and wellness industry is advantageous
