- Act as a leader and a strategic engineering resource for multiple site-specific E&A teams.
- Take initiative on developing and implementing long-term solutions.
- Execute site-specific engineering plans to drive strategies.
- Empower the local automation teams through knowledge sharing and training programs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Establish a collaborative relationship with site-specific teams for problem identification and solution implementation.
- Ensure that key E&A personnel managing, operating and maintaining E&A equipment and infrastructure are competent to do so safely and efficiently.
- Help factories to define and create the right E&A team structure to support each of the factories.
- Coach junior and senior engineers during the onboarding process and set regular development reviews.
- Deliver technical trainings.
- Identify and deliver improvement of quality, safety or efficiency while protecting the technological know-how and competitive advantage.
- Support the implementation and execution of maintenance strategy, tools and methodologies at site level.
- Ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical systems, instrumentation, process and supervisory control, and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Ensure that all E&A installations comply with market and corporate safety, health, environment, product safety and product quality standards.
- Actively participate on the factories' sustainability objectives and help generate energy and water savings.
- Ensure timely stakeholder awareness for capital planning purposes.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support to the organization.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations related to electrical and automation engineering projects, initiatives, and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Graduate degree is a plus
- Professional Engineer license (P.E.) is a plus
- Project Management Professional certification (PMP) is a plus
- Minimum 8 years' experience in the field of E&A (Electrical & Automation)
- Enthusiastic to work in a manufacturing facility in the Food and Beverages industry, or other Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
- Good knowledge of electrical distribution systems (low, medium and high voltage installations)
- Good knowledge of local electrical codes and standards
- Excellent knowledge of Instrumentation and Calibration process
- Proficient in automation systems and equipment (HMI - Human-Machine Interface, PLC - Programmable Logic Controller, Industrial networks, etc.)
- Preference for Rockwell and Wonderware/Aveva systems
- Other platform experience (Siemen, B&R) would also be beneficial
- Knowledge on MES deployment (Manufacturing Execution System)
- Knowledge on Digital technologies implementation (e.g. Vision Systems, Data Analytics, Predictive Maintenance, etc.)
- Knowledge of food processing operations and technology
- Knowledge of food safety and hygienic engineering
- Experience in managing/direct supervision of technical teams
- Knowledge on using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Experience on delivering technical trainings
- Experience on Project Management, including participation in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team and participation in the start-up of technical equipment(s) and/or production line(s)
- Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Great collaboration mindset
- Proactive thinking
- Self-Management following defined KPIs/Objectives, and proactively tracking them
