  • Take initiative on developing and implementing long-term solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Establish a collaborative relationship with site-specific teams for problem identification and solution implementation.
  • Ensure that key E&A personnel managing, operating and maintaining E&A equipment and infrastructure are competent to do so safely and efficiently.
  • Help factories to define and create the right E&A team structure to support each of the factories.
  • Coach junior and senior engineers during the onboarding process and set regular development reviews.
  • Deliver technical trainings.
  • Identify and deliver improvement of quality, safety or efficiency while protecting the technological know-how and competitive advantage.
  • Support the implementation and execution of maintenance strategy, tools and methodologies at site level.
  • Ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical systems, instrumentation, process and supervisory control, and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Ensure that all E&A installations comply with market and corporate safety, health, environment, product safety and product quality standards.
  • Actively participate on the factories' sustainability objectives and help generate energy and water savings.
  • Ensure timely stakeholder awareness for capital planning purposes.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to the organization.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations related to electrical and automation engineering projects, initiatives, and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Graduate degree is a plus
  • Professional Engineer license (P.E.) is a plus
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP) is a plus
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in the field of E&A (Electrical & Automation)
  • Enthusiastic to work in a manufacturing facility in the Food and Beverages industry, or other Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
  • Good knowledge of electrical distribution systems (low, medium and high voltage installations)
  • Good knowledge of local electrical codes and standards
  • Excellent knowledge of Instrumentation and Calibration process
  • Proficient in automation systems and equipment (HMI - Human-Machine Interface, PLC - Programmable Logic Controller, Industrial networks, etc.)
  • Preference for Rockwell and Wonderware/Aveva systems
  • Other platform experience (Siemen, B&R) would also be beneficial
  • Knowledge on MES deployment (Manufacturing Execution System)
  • Knowledge on Digital technologies implementation (e.g. Vision Systems, Data Analytics, Predictive Maintenance, etc.)
  • Knowledge of food processing operations and technology
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygienic engineering
  • Experience in managing/direct supervision of technical teams
  • Knowledge on using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Experience on delivering technical trainings
  • Experience on Project Management, including participation in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team and participation in the start-up of technical equipment(s) and/or production line(s)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Great collaboration mindset

  • Self-Management following defined KPIs/Objectives, and proactively tracking them
