About the role

  • Generate sales to prospective and existing Multivac customers throughout the Western United States
  • Responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, reporting, quoting, and closing business in accordance with sales goals
  • Travel approximately 60%, potentially more depending on location
  • Identify potential sales opportunities with prospective and existing customers
  • Utilize resources provided by the company to further the sales process
  • Attend all material test trials and use the opportunity to strengthen relationships with operations teams
  • Work closely with Customer Support Rep’s and Forecast and Pricing Analyst
  • Utilize CRM according to established procedures
  • Work with equipment sales and management teams to ensure problem-free material performance
  • Provide all necessary information and documentation for the completion of proposals and orders
  • Monitor and report competitive activity in area of responsibility
  • Attend and participate in trade shows, sales meetings, industry meetings, and other activities as directed by management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least five years of sales experience
  • At least one year selling packaging materials
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and contact management systems
  • Current valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required.
