About the role
- Generate sales to prospective and existing Multivac customers throughout the Western United States
- Responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, reporting, quoting, and closing business in accordance with sales goals
- Travel approximately 60%, potentially more depending on location
- Identify potential sales opportunities with prospective and existing customers
- Utilize resources provided by the company to further the sales process
- Attend all material test trials and use the opportunity to strengthen relationships with operations teams
- Work closely with Customer Support Rep’s and Forecast and Pricing Analyst
- Utilize CRM according to established procedures
- Work with equipment sales and management teams to ensure problem-free material performance
- Provide all necessary information and documentation for the completion of proposals and orders
- Monitor and report competitive activity in area of responsibility
- Attend and participate in trade shows, sales meetings, industry meetings, and other activities as directed by management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- At least five years of sales experience
- At least one year selling packaging materials
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and contact management systems
- Current valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required.
