Build and maintain relations and drive alignment between Data Center Services, Facilities, and IT Infrastructure teams
Develop a comprehensive view of portfolio critical facilities, capabilities, capacities, and compliance status
Integrate with site and global teams as single point of contact for activities with Local Computer Room resource demands
Drive implementation and management of governance, operations, and related reporting capabilities
Perform site assessments to ensure accurate, updated information for strategy and planning
Develop and track strategic action plans for hosting at each portfolio site aligned with business objectives
Work closely with engineering and project delivery teams to ensure smooth program execution
Develop processes and tools to enable visibility, alignment, and coordination of planned activities and maintenance windows
Present site health and compliance status at executive stakeholder meetings
Manage processes to onboard and offboard sites as portfolio changes
Collaborate with Facilities and Data Center Engineering to develop Local Computer Room proposals
Maintain vendor and supplier relationships ensuring high-quality delivery and cost management
Serve as backup Relationship Manager for assigned secondary sites
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, engineering or related discipline
Data Center Certifications such as CDCDP, DCDC, or equivalent is desirable
Industry technical certifications in EMC, Cisco or VMware are desirable
PMP and ITIL Certifications or equivalent are desirable
5+ years data center and colocation solution delivery supporting 24/7/365 mission critical services
Fundamental understanding of resilient data center power, cooling, and fire suppression systems; working knowledge of UPS, Generators, breaker panels, rack PDUs, CRACs, and wet/dry sprinkler and gas suppression
Understanding of structured cabling systems, network and connectivity standards and hardware installation
Understanding of ITIL processes, compliance and quality programs, audits and physical security
Ability to manage large scale projects and develop and improve processes
Ability to develop relationships with people in diverse global geographies and lead cross functional teams
Strong business understanding, negotiation skills, and ability to make rapid disciplined decisions
Very good English skills and good German skills (strongly desirable)
Ability to travel up to 25%
