About the role
- Analyze complex, ambiguous business problems and identify and evaluate multiple potential solutions to recommend the optimal path forward.
- Lead the development and implementation of insightful reports, dashboards, and advanced data visualizations in Tableau for various stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Respond to and fulfill ad-hoc data analysis requests from stakeholders using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and other data manipulation tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements and develop long-term strategies to support business objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive, in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement and strategic growth.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and scripts or use Tableau Prep to extract, manipulate, and transform data from multiple sources.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
- Analyze complex operational workflows, identify bottlenecks, and design and propose innovative solutions to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop robust performance metrics and reporting frameworks.
- Present complex findings, insights, and strategic recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and visualization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in business operations as a Business Operations Analyst, Data Analyst or similar role, or 2+ years of experience with a Master's degree.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports with Tableau.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain fingerprint clearance.
- Strong proficiency in Tableau, with a thorough understanding of data visualization best practices and techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling.
- Proficient SQL or Tableau Prep skills for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Proficiency in utilizing project management software to track, manage, and report on project status and deliverables.
- Keen analytical mindset, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data.
