About the role

  • Capture strategic context and translate vision, mission, and business goals into clear architectural representations.
  • Work with domain architects to document and refine capability models, process overviews, application catalogues, and reference architectures.
  • Review and validate solution architecture proposals to ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture standards and overall IT strategy.
  • Drive consensus across product teams, architects, and IT stakeholders regarding architectural direction and technology choices.
  • Support project validation from early concept to delivery, ensuring feasibility, cost awareness, and adherence to EA principles.
  • Build and maintain Reference Architectures, Blueprints, and Roadmaps within a formal modelling environment (Archimate).
  • Follow implementation progress and carry out quality checks to ensure architectural integrity.
  • Evaluate new technologies and patterns such as cloud-native solutions, event-driven architecture, identity and access management, and integration frameworks.
  • Contribute to Agile delivery teams when needed, helping translate architecture into actionable guidelines.

Requirements

  • BSc. and/or MSc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, with strong exposure to solution architecture and software development.
  • Hands-on technical background across the development lifecycle, ideally with experience in:
  • - Java, Spring, Hibernate
  • - Web tiers (Apache, Jetty, IIS, modern JS frameworks)
  • - Databases (Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, MongoDB, ElasticSearch)
  • - Middleware & integration (Camel, ActiveMQ, CXF, RESTful APIs, EIP patterns)
  • Strong knowledge of modern architectural approaches, including:
  • - Cloud-based solutions (SaaS/PaaS)
  • - Azure or AWS
  • - Identity management, authentication/authorization
  • - Event-driven architectures (Kafka, Heroku)
  • Solid practical experience in Archimate and modelling tools used for capability/process/architecture representation.
  • Experience supporting Agile teams and navigating multi-project environments.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to speak both business and technical language.
  • Fluency in English is essential, as we are a multinational company.
