About the role
- Assist clients in understanding regulatory processes, issues affecting project development and timelines, propose mitigations and advise on appropriate strategic approach
- Analyze, assess, and interpret development plans to recommend design solutions and mitigation strategies
- Manage, draft, review and submit regulatory applications for western Canadian projects
- Support project management responsibilities including internal and external meetings, scheduling, change order management, progress updates, budgets, invoicing, and financial tracking
- Interact directly with clients to provide project updates and regulatory guidance
- Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within Montrose and sub-contractors
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ of experience managing environmental permitting projects in Western Canada within a consulting environment
- Experience as an assistant project manager or project coordinator managing multi-disciplinary regulatory projects
- A degree in environmental science, biology, geography, geology, engineering, or equivalent
- Working knowledge of environmental and planning legislation, regulations, and procedures
- A valid and clean driver’s license with no restrictions
- Experience with provincially regulated projects in Alberta, British Columbia, and/or Saskatchewan
