Engineer

• Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering or scientific work in a project or performs work that involves conventional engineering or scientific practices.
• Typical work may include research, development, design, testing, logistics, analysis, production, maintenance, operation, planning, estimating, application, or standardization of engineering facilities, systems, structures, software applications, firmware, processes equipment, devices, or materials.
• Generates specifications or plans to support the development of acquisition documentation.
• Supports technical findings, opinions or recommendations.
• Performs customer liaison, makes presentations and attends customer meetings.
• Consults with stakeholders on technical applications to support program management decisions.
• Using appropriate techniques, processes, procedures, and management tools to design and develop policies, processes, strategic and S&T Roadmaps and operations including Business Processes and Workflows, Business Cases Knowledge Management processes and tools, and Capabilities Based Portfolio Analysis.
