About the role
- Design, model, and layout photonic components and integrated circuits using industry-standard tools
- Set up and execute design of experiments (DoE) to validate and optimize photonic designs
- Analyze test data to extract performance metrics and guide design improvements
- Translate customer requirements into system-level concepts and PIC architectures
- Contribute to the enhancement of existing photonic platforms
- Maintain and update design libraries, documentation, and standard operating procedures
Requirements
- Degree in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred)
- Proven experience in photonic design and simulation tools (e.g., Lumerical, IPKISS, Synopsys, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
- Familiarity with PIC fabrication processes and testing methodologies
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
