About the role
- The Charge Edit Analyst is responsible for the daily review, correction, and approval of charges in pended or assigned error reports.
- Assures accuracy of charge input into the system by daily analysis of various assigned charge processes.
- Reports charge processing/posting problems immediately to Revenue Integrity management for resolution.
Requirements
- Successful completion of the following courses, per departmental protocol, within one year of hire: Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), current International Classification of Disease (ICD), and Medical Terminology.
- Three years of experience in a medical business office, healthcare setting, or comparable experience.
- Experience with charge entry processes in a healthcare setting.
- Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
- Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid.
