About the role

  • Support the National BI Analytics Leader in execution of MMA’s analytics strategy
  • Responsible for a small team of analysts
  • Provide expert data analysis in supporting specific business goals
  • Display findings in simple, meaningful, and actionable formats consistent with the MMA brand
  • Provide analytics advisory services to MMA’s colleagues and clients
  • Research data and methods, and develop new digital technologies
  • Implement corresponding processes and deliverables
  • Responsible for accurate and timely production of reports and delivery
  • Identify trends in claims data through various analytical tools
  • Support and strengthen negotiations with insurance underwriters
  • Quantify future loss expectations leveraging actuarial methodologies and statistical modeling
  • Advise clients on insurance program options to select the optimal fit for their company based on benchmarking and loss modeling
  • Enable clients to adequately and accurately budget for loss sensitive program adjustments
  • Accompany Producers, Account Executives and other team members to client meetings and presentations to explain analytical tools and results
  • Support research and development of new tools and deliverables as directed
  • Partner with National Business Insurance teams on group initiatives

Requirements

  • BS/BA in insurance & risk management, actuarial science, business administration, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics.
  • 10+ years of property & casualty insurance analytics experience
  • General understanding of Property, Casualty, Cyber and Directors & Officers insurance risk transfer structures/deals
  • Experience in interpreting actuarial methods and statistical modeling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills
  • These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply: Property & Casualty underwriting experience with a focus on analytics
  • Property & Casualty Actuarial experience
  • Property & Casualty brokerage experience
