About the role
- Lead and advance the global indirect procurement function, including strategy development, policies, compliance frameworks, and risk management.
- Manage, mentor, and develop an international high-performing team (~40 direct and indirect reports), fostering talent growth and knowledge sharing.
- Oversee sourcing activities across multiple indirect spend categories to ensure cost efficiency, service quality, and innovation.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement and long-term value creation.
- Negotiate global agreements and purchasing contracts with key suppliers to mitigate risks and secure sustainable value.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and balance cost, quality, and risk.
- Drive the implementation of digital procurement platforms and process automation to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, sustainability standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Own and manage the procurement budget, define KPIs, and implement reporting mechanisms to monitor performance and compliance.
- Identify and realize cost-saving and cash optimization opportunities across the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement leadership roles, with a focus on indirect commodities.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Experience with digital procurement tools, analytics, and process automation.
- Proven track record of delivering cost savings and value creation in complex, global environments.
- Proven experience in leading senior managers and leadership teams across multiple regions and time zones, fostering collaboration and alignment in a global environment.
- Fluent in English (negotiation level); additional languages are a plus.
