General Counsel

• You will be responsible for providing legal advice to our business units in Germany.
• Lead contract and license management (with the support of external counsel).
• Provide comprehensive advice in day-to-day matters, particularly in the areas of compliance, data protection (privacy) and the drafting of service agreements as well as other contracts.
• In close collaboration with the legal team in the UK, you will take on a broad range of tasks including legal support for production and creative services, compliance and risk management, and the legal aspects of content monetization.
• Your tasks also include: Contract Management (Drafting & Negotiating): structuring, negotiating and preparing all types of contracts (short and long form) — from creative services, channel management and content licensing to agreements for unscripted productions.
• Compliance & Risk Management: leading and advising in strategic contract discussions and assessing risks across matters in line with the company’s profile.
• Legal Advisory: providing comprehensive legal advice to internal departments (e.g., Production, HR, Finance) on IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) and all legal issues related to production, advertising sales and social media compliance.
• Day-to-day matters: handling daily legal and commercial issues and tasks within Business & Legal Affairs.
