About the role
- Lead the Engineering department and maintain open, proactive communication within the team, with management, and across other departments
- Coordinate actions, including schedule and status tracking with project teams
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers and be responsible for implementing customer requirements
- Prepare quotations for change requests and support cost estimation for new projects
- Participate in customer and supplier meetings to support project realization
- Initiate operational measures to improve quality, ergonomics, and efficiency in production processes
- Plan and optimize manufacturing methods and processes for components and assemblies
- Coordinate and plan prototype and sample production
- Ensure adherence to budget and perform regular cost control
- Contribute to certification processes within the responsible subprojects
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations during process planning
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in a technical environment
- Deep understanding of processing/manufacturing operations in series production
- Solid knowledge of series production, particularly machining processes, assembly, and inspection/testing
- Confident user of ERP systems, MS Office, and CAD systems (e.g., AutoCAD, Pro/ENGINEER)
- Basic knowledge of CNC machining
- Good written and spoken English
