Project Manager

• Assist project managers in day-to-day project activities including task tracking, schedule updates, and milestone monitoring for SMIT program initiatives.
• Maintain project documentation, updating project management software systems, and ensuring that project deliverables are properly organized and accessible to team members.
• Participate in project meetings, take detailed notes, and help distribute action items and follow-up communications to relevant stakeholders across the Navy and Leidos teams.
• Collect and analyze project data to support decision-making processes for SMIT program improvements.
• Create status reports, update project dashboards, and assist in preparing presentations for stakeholder meetings.
• Track project metrics, identify trends, and help communicate project progress to various audiences including senior management, Navy clients, and cross-functional teams working on network operations and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Support communication efforts by drafting emails, scheduling meetings, and maintaining stakeholder contact lists for both internal Leidos teams and Navy personnel.
• Assist in coordinating project communications, ensuring that all team members receive timely updates.
• Identify process improvement opportunities specifically focused on gaining efficiencies and effectiveness for the SMIT program.
• Contribute to the development of project management templates, checklists, and standard operating procedures that align with government contracting requirements and help document best practices.
