About the role
- Lead and develop electrical power systems for the integration of electrical/electronic equipment on the aircraft systems.
- Program tasking can include development of electrical load analysis, facilities documents, vendor coordination and supporting testing/integration of this system.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other junior level employees.
- Ensure programs are accomplished on schedule and within budget while complying with process/procedures and program requirements.
- Provide input into new products, processes, standards, and production plans that have measurable impact on the achievement of overall business results.
- Capable of influencing a wide range of audience, and having demonstrated leadership skills to win support without direct reporting structure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant aircraft design experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related aircraft design experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Familiarity with FAA (Part 23 or 25) or military aircraft airworthiness design approach, certification process, and requirements
- Advanced knowledge and skills using ECAD tools
- Progressive understanding of power systems and various mission systems
- Must be able to travel international to support field modifications
- Capable of managing and working in an environment that is fast paced, demanding, with a focus on problem resolution and process improvement
- A minimum of an active DoD Secret Clearance is required
