About the role

  • Develop embedded software for space-based payloads and assist with higher level integration with buses.
  • Contribute to the complete life cycle of the software, from requirements, design, development, and implementation of space-based applications.
  • Actively participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with and lead other engineers to plan and organize the development of our solutions.
  • Contribute to program execution as a practitioner of knowledge within low level Space Vehicle Software development and Bus-PL Interfaces.
  • Communicate with leadership on status, issues, milestones, and successes.
  • Utilize strong technical skillset, able to contribute to requirements analysis, design, code and unit test, integration and test, and requirements sell off.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum 4-6 years software experience.
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2-4 years of software experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8-10 years of software experience.
  • Experience with software development within Aerospace Industry
  • Experience in with Embedded Software Development
  • Minimum 4 years of software development experience in C/C++
  • Background in developing and maintaining satellite payloads
  • Knowledge in space domain and applications
  • Fundamental knowledge of computer architecture and networks
  • 8+ years of experience in software development (knowledge of C/C++, assembly, Python)
  • Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, and Confluence
  • Experience in Real-Time Operating Systems
