About the role
- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for the production teams and participate in personnel selection and development
- Plan and control an economically optimized production flow, e.g., by optimizing machine and personnel utilization and implementing cost-reduction action plans
- Ensure on-time, demand-driven and quality-compliant delivery to customers and communicate with all other departments
- Prepare and promptly process customer sequence call-offs
- Monitor the condition of production equipment and coordinate maintenance and servicing activities for machines and systems
- Handle customer complaints, perform root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence
- Maintain complete documentation within existing systems and conduct completeness and currency checks
- Support process audits, process approvals and Run@Rates
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational safety and accident prevention regulations and assisting with safety briefings across all work areas
Requirements
- Completed technical vocational training, ideally with a Meister (master craftsman) qualification
- Alternatively, a completed degree with a focus on production, production planning or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in automotive production (JIS/JIT)
- Motivated to take on a leadership role and assume responsibility
- Knowledge of production engineering and personnel management is an advantage
- Solid knowledge of MS Office applications
- Assertiveness, strong communication and organizational skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset, flexibility and a strong quality awareness
- Experience handling painted components for the automotive industry is a plus
