About the role
- Manage critical systems across Kyndryl Italia Innovation Services Enterprise Command Center
- Support multiple environments including Linux, Windows, Citrix, VMware, Databases, Middleware, and Backup
- Perform Security & Compliance activities on systems and subsystems (OS patching and HC activities)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose server-related issues and monitor processes and filesystems
- Execute patching activities and system updates
- Use scripting to automate tasks in Linux and Windows environments
- Recommend modernization options and identify new business opportunities
- Cultivate relationships with other teams and stakeholders and collaborate globally
- Provide shift-based operational support (7:00–15:00 or 15:00–23:00), including remote handling for afternoon shift
Requirements
- Proven familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Expertise in patching activities and system updates
- Good knowledge of the VMware ecosystem (vSphere experience)
- Competence in scripting for Linux and Windows environments (PowerShell and Bash)
- Experience in troubleshooting and problem determination
- Microsoft Active Directory experience
- Preferred: Automation experience, especially in IaaS (infrastructure as code)
- Preferred: Vulnerability management
- Preferred: Public/private cloud management, especially migration from on-prem to cloud solutions
- Shift availability: Two shifts available — 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Ability to work in h16x7 or h24x7 remote services environments
