About the role
- The Channel Manager directly manages a portfolio of Kimberly-Clark Professional’s (KCP) large national distribution customers in North America who require a high investment across KCP resources.
- The Channel Manager serves as the central point of contact for the customer and coordinates activities across all functions of the KCP organization.
- The Channel Manager is responsible for managing the utilization of shared resources to drive the Customer’s business plan to achieve the financial performance objectives.
- The Channel Manager strategically conducts joint business planning with assigned distribution customer buyers, category managers, and merchants to drive volume and profit growth for Kimberly-Clark Professional categories.
- In this role you’ll implement KCP strategies and tactics with customer and KCP sales organizations to drive all sales, including eCommerce, for KCP.
- You’ll also leverage customer relationships, sales engagement, category management, and business planning and A&P management utilizing cross-functional and data resources to achieve financial growth targets for the assigned portfolio of strategic customers.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in B2B environments.
- Background in sales or customer-facing roles.
- Preference for additional other B2B functional experience (category/brand management, supply chain, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multifunctional teams on tactical initiatives.
- A track record of building and influencing executive-level relationships, both internally and externally.
- Skill in influencing peers and teams without direct authority.
- Strong analytical capabilities, supported by data-driven decision-making.
- Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development.
- Solid understanding of B2B marketplace dynamics and strategies.
- Experience shaping and executing strategic merchandising, marketing, pricing, and sales programs.
- Ability to manage budgets and expenses to achieve profitable outcomes.
- Project management expertise with ability to monitor and advance multiple projects.
- Proven success acting as a liaison among customers, internal teams, and support functions, fostering collaboration and accountability.
