About the role
- Partner with the Philanthropy, Accounting, and Program teams to support the financial management of grants, ensuring budgets and forecasts reflect funder requirements and program goals.
- Track and analyze spending and funding progress across grant portfolios, providing insights into budget utilization and financial performance.
- Support compliance and reporting needs by providing financial context and analysis for grant-related reporting and audit requests.
- Work closely with the Director of FP&A, Philanthropy, and Partnership teams to support revenue forecasting and modeling.
- Partner with teams across the organization to support the development, monitoring, and refinement of budgets and forecasts.
- Contribute to the preparation of internal reports and presentations for leadership and key stakeholders.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes, including optimizing FP&A systems, data workflows, and process documentation to enhance consistency, transparency, and scalability.
Requirements

- Proven cross-cultural competency skills demonstrating self-awareness, awareness of other, and the ability to adopt inclusive perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors to drive inclusion and belonging throughout the organization.
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related finance roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Experience building and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Advanced Excel (or Google Sheets) modeling skills and strong systems expertise across FP&A and ERP platforms (example, Workday Adaptive, Sage Intacct, NetSuite).
- Experience partnering across functions and communicating financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with GAAP, particularly revenue recognition (ASC 606) and fund accounting principles (ASC 958) as applicable to nonprofit organizations.
- Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment.
