About the role

  • Managing a caseload of housing disrepair claims, including preparing and drafting legal documents
  • Advising clients on housing disrepair law, rights, and legal processes
  • Negotiating settlements and representing clients in correspondence with landlords, housing associations, and other relevant parties
  • Conducting legal research and ensuring all cases are managed effectively and in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Attending court hearings where necessary, advocating on behalf of clients
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering high-quality legal advice

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or experienced Fee Earner with a strong background in housing disrepair claims
  • Previous experience managing a caseload of housing disrepair claims independently
  • Strong knowledge of housing disrepair law, including Pre-Action Protocols, Civil Procedure Rules, and relevant legislation
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A client-focused approach, demonstrating a commitment to delivering the best outcomes for clients
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to work from home and the office
